In the late 1800's his family arrived at Ellis Island by way of Naples, Italy and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Ever since, they have called Greenpoint and Williamsburg their home. As a teenager, he witnessed the beginnings of a mass gentrification that transformed the entire NYC. Once becoming a working man, he got his start on Wall Street for the better part of a decade. In 2008, John left his position at Bear Stearns and opened a restaurant four blocks away from his childhood home in Greenpoint.
